Edamame: Salty pods of flavour

I understand that a big ass bowl of green shit does not sound like something that your kids will be into but trust on this one. The salty goodness of these babies will sell it for sure. Add that on to the fact that the get to shove the whole thing in their mouths and eat with the hands like animals and you have the perfect equation for kid success. I keep a bag of these puppies in my freezer for a super quick snack or an add on to the side of any meal.

WHAT GOES IN IT

1 lb frozen edamame in the shell

2 tsp salt

HOW YOU MAKE IT

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil then toss in your edamame. Boil them for about 5 minutes or until tender. Taste one to try but becareful becase they’re hot and you’ll burn the fuck out of your mouth. Drain and transfer to a bowl. Sprinkle on your salt and toss until each one is coated. Serve and enjoy but also warn your kids that they’re hot and they too will burn the fuck out of their mouths. Nobody wants that.
